Language forms the basis of any new skill. At Yellow Ducklings, the language and communication skills include children expressing themselves and learning to understand others. We encourage use of words, gestures, and facial expressions for children to develop their language skills.

There are so many aspects of cognitive skills. It is important that these skills get a foundation right at playschool level so that children can start to learn them early. Our cognitive skills curriculum includes visual understanding, problem solving, simple reasoning, asking questions, and developing an attention span.

Gross motor skills are so important for children. Development of these skills enables children to perform every day activities in a better way. We have active play sessions that seamlessly integrate gross motor skills development. We have a wide range of fun activities like balancing on one leg, run around obstacles, walk up and down the stairs, use a slide etc. that help developing gross motor skills.

Using the right activities we at Yellow Ducklings aim at developing not just gross motor skills, but also fine motor skills of children. Fine motor skills include use of smaller muscles of hands, and will help improve your child’s handwriting and give a better pencil grip etc. Activities like pasting things onto paper, button and unbutton things, work with zips etc. are all part of fine motor skills development.

The main aim of sending children to playschool is to help them understand new situations and adapt to new settings. With the self help and adaptive curriculum, we help children understand day to day situations in a better way. Each curriculum is designed by experts, so you need not worry at all.

Developing a child’s spiritual, moral, and cultural awareness makes them understand and respect the diversity of our nation. The curriculum helps children with spiritual understating at basic level and moral development. Helping them understand the difference between good and bad, exploring beliefs, and respecting values are all integral parts of spiritual and moral development curriculum.

Children at this age are trying to express their feelings. Social-emotional development makes children more aware of good and bad, develop friendships, and understand other people’s feelings. It is an important part of overall development of your child and our curriculum helps them take small steps and make an early start.

Developing interpersonal skills at an early age is so helpful for children. The curriculum helps children understand the importance of active listening, good manners, and empathy. They are able to communicate with each other well.
